Re: uncomment section below to use idle temperatures

Many thanks for that. I have progressed now and have added additional commands as the 'wait for temp to stabilize' in the temperature tab doesn't work. it continues to print before it's reached the temperature. I added a {IF New Tool} command relating to temperature stabilisation. it's not as good a...

uncomment section below to use idle temperatures

Hiya, I have noticed the following and was wondering what it meant: M218 T1 X0.0 Y0.0 ; reset extruder offset T[new_tool] M218 T1 X-18.0 Y0.0 ; set extruder offset ; uncomment section below to use idle temperatures {IF NEWTOOL=0};M104 S100 T1 ; idle right extruder {IF NEWTOOL=0};M104 S[extruder0_tem...

Re: Measuring the distance of a shell on one layer

hiya, I have to do similar and so far I haven't come across print times that are less than actual print times. so I am always covered. volume of material i think is pretty spot on. it's based on the amount extruded so I am pretty confident that it will wither equal or just a little more than actual ...

Re: Top and bottom not solid.

Any pics? Tried to dial up the extrusion a bit? Know this guide? https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/ /edit ok, since you have 200+ posts you probably know that guide. I know I don't need to dial in the extrusion as that is spot on with the skirt and wall printing fine....

Top and bottom not solid.

Hiya all, I was wondering if any one has the same issue. I'm using a UM2+ The top and bottom layers aren't a solid surfaces. There are gaps in between the lines. I have the filament at 2.85 dia which is smaller than the actual filament. 0.4mm nozzle cleaned and running smooth. Tuned the extrusion in...

Re: Single extruder with multiple processes to change speed

I see your problem. a wing needs to be light as possible. the only way I can think of resolving your problem is go back to the design. what do you use to do the CAD. What I would do is design the reinforcements as seperate solids. also the solid layers you want to maintain. then save each of the sol...

Re: speed down at the corner

the new cura slicer manages to adjust acceleration very nicely. Well Cura still does not acceleration control. It only sets the firmwares acceleration depending on the feature type: ;TYPE:WALL-INNER G1 F2100 E7.67254 G1 F1800 X134.4 Y95.6 E8.1415 G1 X134.4 Y114.4 E8.61047 G1 X115.6 Y114.4 E9.07944 ...

Re: Single extruder with multiple processes to change speed

Hiya, a number of settings are regarded as part of a complete process. I think what you are asking for is a new feature that assimilates multiple processes in a single over arching process. the top and bottom are such settings. taking the process separately they are complete processes which you are ...
