Re: Wrong Solid Infill

Try changing your first layer height by 1% and try again. I've seen this before and seem to remember that's all it took to turn it off.

Good luck.

Manual Support Control Improvement.

There are times that I have a need for supports in several directions. One example is a part that has holes at several different orientations. There is no way to choose a single support direction that will lay material perpendicular to each different hole. If we could add different manual support re...

Re: Filament curls around nozzle and doesn't stick

They make nozle cleaning drill bits that are handy for clearing out the tips. You have to be super careful with the small diameter tips because they seem to be easy to damage. Bed leveling is critical to good prints with such a small tip and layer height. I almost always print at at least 0.1mm thic...

Re: Not filling to outer perimeter around holes

Adding overlap is one of the last things that I change when I have this problem. What you want is to force the thickness of the wall to be a multiple of the extrusion width. Assuming you have a 0.4mm tip try reducing the extrusion width slightly until the issue goes away. I've also had luck increasi...

Re: Layer Change Script Tab

Will Simplify save default printer settings that include two processes?

If you could save the processes and have them default each time it would be more useful. This gives you control over a lot more than just the extrusion without the time spent to create a new process.

Re: Variable Infill workflow.

Perhaps not the best solution to your problem but here's a suggestion. Set the number of perimeters up to a point where small features are printed solid. For instance with a .5mm tip width and 5 perimeters you 100% fill a 2.5mm feature. This will increase the shell thickness over the whole part but ...

Re: Incorrect hole sizes

From a shrinkage standpoint Simplify (and any other slicer) is going to have a hard time nailing down that last little bit of accuracy. The materials just vary too much even batch to batch or between colors. The hole size issue with the Gcode generating on the center of the edge is news to me. I'm t...

Re: Windows 10 november 2015 update

I had some major issues connecting a motor dyno in Win10. I've found two ways to cure the problem. 1) Install Windows7 and dual boot. (this is what I did and it works like a champ) 2) There is a cave man workaround that is pretty risky. Risky as in registry changes and running older Win7 usb kernel ...

Re: Printing an odd shape.

What material are you trying to print with?

The link posted is a good starting point but I'm finding that material selection is just as important.

For what it's worth, when I need good layer adhesion PETG is my go to material.

Re: Marks where solid infill section meet on top layers

Judging by your picture it looks like this is caused by the accuracy of the machine. To be specific, the fill directions are opposing each other and this causes the machine backlash to be added between the two final segments. Our machines aren't perfect so there are problems with regards to slop in ...
