Re: Approach overhangs fron a non overhang direction

Using ABS juice to stick things down. I can normally print quite large objects without it being knocked off. The problem probably arise when moving (100mm/s) to a new position to start printing and the head moves over a curled up section (where there is overhang without support) on a section higher ...

Re: Auto fine layers only when needed

Using different processes do help in this regard but then the whole section of the model need to be printed that way slowing things down. Also using different processes one need to find & define the ranges manually. The interfaces between layers also tend to be printed with 100% infill (or one might...

Approach overhangs fron a non overhang direction

I'm printing mostly with ABS. Great for printing overhangs without support but due to the slight up-curl and the speed of printing it sometimes happen that the model is bumped off the build plate. A way around this is to use z-lift. This do however slow down my printing time considerably. Would it b...

Auto fine layers only when needed

Can you add the option to automatically reduce layer height for high "overhang" areas to 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4 of current layer. This only need to be done on areas where the angle more than a specified angle (say 30deg or so). This will allow for much smoother finishing yet allow maximum speed on sections...
