Re: Perimeter Zits

This is S3D’s biggest problems. It’s been their problem since it’s first release. They refuse to fix the Pi rounding error over extrusion factor. First, disable all retractions, wipe, coast and everything that has to do with blob control. This problem has nothing to do with any of it. Try any or all...

Re: Micro pauses in print.

I gave you the work around and you still complain.

Good luck on the blobs.

Re: Micro pauses in print.

So you’re scolding me for S3D’s problems? No, we don’t want any money, we want you to tell the developer with YOUR pocket books to fix the problem. It’s fixable, and it’s a problem. It’s been a problem for a long time now. We just did someone else’s job. How would you like to come work for me for fr...

Re: Micro pauses in print.

Do you work for free sir? I don’t . We spent many hours with some of the brightest minds (that we would like to keep employed) working on a solution that should have been fixed. This cost us lots of production time and money. PERIOD. This software is not an open source platform, please remember that...

Re: Micro pauses in print.

Nope on Europe. Heartland of America. Sorry, we can’t give out any code, it’s all for a proprietary part. We have been through this before several years ago with tech support on a different part, that we had to do a similar work around. (S3D did not have a usable solution so we scrapped the initial ...

Re: Really bad seam lines!

I should also mention that using two different process with different infill % over an arc or curved surface will generally look really bad. S3D calculates this incorrectly when it switches from one fff program to the next. It changes it’ infill start position and then starts miscalculating it’s mov...

Re: Really bad seam lines!

Although S3D sports the ability to slice a model with different process, you my want to try one single process, or make sure both processes start on the exact same (closest to) point. Changing them is catastrophic and unwise. Although S3D allows for a set start position for making a seam, the progra...

5E655D49-0AE2-4CFC-9A2D-6812AEEEC115.jpeg Another 2 hours and the deed is done. Meets production standards. As far as the fix? That is the $980. Loss in our production costs question, now isn’t it? It’s definitely a problem S3D should have fixed a loooong time ago. I’m sure we aren’t the only compa...

Re: Micro pauses in print.

We originally thought the issue had something to do with the infill overlap but my tech said it wasn’t in that module. We tested over 100 different combinations of settings pertaining to all things ooze control and retraction. We ruled out the machines, the model itself and the program that created ...

Re: Micro pauses in print.

UPDATE: After 40+ hours the problem has been solved with a work around. I am surprised that no one has run into this, or they are just not expressing this problem. It is duplicatable and a very specific event. This should have been fixed a long time ago, and it will continue until it is addressed. G...
