Re: All processes lost

Hi, This has also happened to me before. If you don't have a saved factory file, then I don't think it is possible to recover your processes. The real problem here is how you (and I used to) use the processes. They are not supposed to be used as presets for different materials. So you are not suppos...

Re: Thin wall head movement behaviour

Thanks for the answer. I understand that limitation about the spiral vase mode. However, the movement behaviour I have explained in my original post happens also when I print in normal mode for the objects I have described.

Thin wall head movement behaviour

Hi, When I am trying to print very thin objects (like a calibration cylinder or a fan shroud) I can observe an odd printing behaviour. In the case of the fan shroud, instead of printing 2 continous full circles for the inner and outer perimeter, Simplify 3D chooses to make one circle clockwise for o...

How to set first retraction speed?

Hi, My starting sctipt consists of a G28 to home all axes, followed by a G29 to use BLTouch for bed leveling. The leveling ends with the hotend located at the upper rightmost location, where it goes up for a few centimeters, performs a retraction move and then goes to the lowest layer to start print...

Re: More intelligent options for the prime pillar

Also, it would be nice to have an option to print the prime pillar with very low infill (10% for example) if there is no tool change command at that layer (or maybe at that layer and the next one, so that there is enough surface area for the priming layer to stick). This could help save some material.

Print infills before perimeters

Hi, This is an option in Cura: You can print infills before perimeters. While it might not be very obvious where that would help, I think that in practice it is an efficent way to prevent blobs on the surface. Cura increases the Z height when it is on the infill, so any blob formed stays in the infi...

Help with supports for Ninjaflex

Hi, I need some help for printing supports with Ninjaflex. I have uploaded a video file below: https://youtu.be/buxnUnDfvW8 As you can see, there are some problems: 1) It is difficult to print tall objects with Ninjaflex (it is the semiflex version), as they start to bend or wobble as the object get...
