Want solid layers to alternate direction

I have a print where I've set three top layers. All three top layers print in the same direction as each other. I'd like these layers to be at 90 degrees to one another so it's stronger. I know you can angle the infill, but I don't see anything to adjust the top or bottom solid layers. Is this possi...

Extra perimeter around holes

Is there a way to add extra perimeters around holes? I have some holes where I want to install a threaded insert (by heating it and melting it into the plastic). I want some extra plastic around the hole area. BTW, I use Fusion360 for modeling.

Startup Script Help Lower Z Before Jog

I'd like to change the startup script on my Replicator 2. Right now the printer homes, then jogs to the other side of the build plate. I'd like to lower z before the x-y jog to the other side of the build plate. I'm having problems because of M132 command. M132 recalls the home offsets. Right after ...

Re: Zits on print

The filament makes a BIG difference for this as well. So if you're seeing different results with different filament, then the one that looks bad has probably absorbed too much moisture or is just poor quality filament. I've seen the exact same thing before where one roll would just print horribly c...

Re: Mac opens 2nd instance

I think you recommendation is telling me to do the opposite of what I want. I don't want a 2nd instance of Simplify 3D, I only want one, even if I click on the Dock icon again.

Re: If-Then statement in End gcode block

It already moves to the bottom, but I don't want it too.

Re: Zits on print

Thanks for the tips. Tried to print some test cylinders to see which settings would get rid of the zits, but none of my test cylinders had the zits. I guess I'll have to wait until I see this problem again and then I can play with the settings.

If-Then statement in End gcode block

I would like to modify my end-gode block to do the following: If Z >= 75 AND Z < 150, then move build plate incrementally down by 5 mm Else If Z < 75 then move Z to absolute position of 75 Else Move Z to absolute position 155 Can I even do If-then statements in G-code? I have a Makerbot Replicator 2.

Mac opens 2nd instance

On my Mac (Ver 10.9.5) if I already have Simplify3D open, and I click on the Simplify3D icon in the Dock, a whole new instance of Simplify3D opens up so now I have two Simplify3D programs running. For other programs on my Mac clicking on the Dock icon just switches to the already open app, which is ...

Zits on print

Any suggestions for getting rid of these little zits on the cylinder of my print? Is "zits" the right term for these things? I'm using PLA on my Replicator 2. Temp is 220F.
