[ADDED] Bridging outline overlap

It would be great if there was an option to increase the outline overlap of "just" the bridging. Those thin strands need a little more anchor on long bridges. Also would like to have an option for denser bridging so the strands connect edge to edge and don't blow around in the active cooli...

Re: Extrusion Width - Recommendations?

Great info! In the case of the box with a 1.1mm thickness and a 4mm nozzle; If the nozzle setting is left on auto will it print those shells at 5.5? Trying to figure out what "auto" actually does and what it's based on. Thanks for any help clarifying this. Looks like you had answered that ...

Re: Fixed speed settings instead of percentage

Great idea!
This would really help when doing calibration for bridging. Increasing the overall print speed without having to figure out the conversions for the bridge settings would be helpful.

Re: Bridging bug

Bummer, I'm having this issue while trying to calibrate bridging with a new active cooling duct. Please fix! Also noticing that the second layer perimeter doesn't respond to the same speed adjustments as the other perimeters, and looks to be set at the same speed color as my offending bridge perimet...

Re: Composite shell possibilities?

Yeah, the 2D, 3D thing is kinda what I just said, not getting through here... but nervermind. Maybe you could tell me which of "any" of these decent CAD packages will bring in a 20 million polly object and generate a clean interior shell with out losing surface detail then decimate it for ...

Re: Composite shell possibilities?

Cool, how does Inventor handle high polycount? I have shell options in Maya and C4d but what I was really looking for was a way to adjust the interior thickness when printing without a re-sculpt or adding tons of shells walls. Being able to go from an 4mm thickness to a 20 mm thickness to control we...

Re: Composite shell possibilities?

Sure, 3 clicks for a cylinder. But say you have a model where you have sculpted out surface detail like wood grain and thin pipes running all over the place. When you do an interior shell wall across 10s of millions of polys where the offsets overlap you have a nightmare of mesh issues. You can holl...

Re: Composite shell possibilities?

I'm an FX guy so I use mainly C4D and Maya sometimes Z-brush. Getting high-rez good shells with consistent thickness and clean poly flow is certainly possible but there is a lot of tedium to make it happen and once you're there it's not very adjustable. Was thinking the math for equidistant offset i...

Composite shell possibilities?

I was hoping for some feedback on a feature that seems well suited for slicing software but one I can't figure out how to hack. The following image shows a simple example of what I'd like to achieve. A composite shell with a controllable offset and density. Ultimately I'd print it as a dual material...

Re: Skirt Speed

If you have a mostly vertical print you could use a second process on the model with the horizontal size compensation "Other Tab" offset with no infill. Then the skirt gets treated like a model and you can control the shell width, speed, and stop it at any hight. Of course it will follow t...
