Re: Windows10 installation

I don't want to lose all my printer and material configurations. Well don't shout at anyone if you do lose your profiles if the only place you have them is in the dropdown list. All your eggs are in a single basket supported by a piece of frayed thread! I create a Factory file for EVERY part I prin...

Re: S3D totally ignores what I program it to do...why?

My post of 4 and a half years ago was probably ignored...and who knows whether the original poster had his issue resolved. That post....some 4 and a half years later...is still a valid post: Why don't you attach a copy of the factory file for the project so someone can take a look and advise what th...

Re: No supports generating

Oh... somehow I was expecting some error inside S3D.... if you want to check the model with NetFabb, it's actually really easy. The old free releases can be downloaded from here: https://github.com/3DprintFIT/netfabb-b ... d/releases Even better......take a look here: https://blogs.autodesk.com/net...

Re: No supports generating

Probably worth you having a read of this: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/articles/adding-and-modifying-support-structures/ With such large flat angled surfaces underneath, it looks as if you need to create the supports manually. No quick fix, I'm afraid!...you'll need to learn how to do things f...

Re: Ender 5 Pro / TPU oozing issue

Rather than curing the problem, why not try avoiding it. Advanced tab..Movement behavior...tick the Avoid crossing outline for travel movements and set the Max allowed field to 999. Compare the before and after by viewing the slice simulation with Travel moves ticked......you'll see a big difference.

Re: Prepare to print shows extra layer of plastic in model

This is a typical Thingiverse file.....filled with errors!.

As an alternative to NettFab, if you're on Windows10, load into 3DBuilder and it will be auto-repaired...then save as a .3mf.

Re: Printer just growling and not printing

One last change before you print!!!!!

Go to the Mesh dropdown menu and select Separate Connected Surfaces. That will split the two meshes in the stl out into separate files....and the model should print perfect!!

Re: Top layer issues

I'm guessing that you are asking if S3D prints non-planar layers....see https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5814&hilit=non+planar+layers Unfortunately, I don't think any printers do this as standard at present. Something for the future, I'm afraid. The only compromise is have layers th...
