Re: Help find the problem!

….and the wiggly lines on your Benchy could...and I stress could.....be due to you printing perimeters "outside in" as opposed to "inside out".....but a siingle photo is usually never enough to allow a good diagnosis of a problem.

Re: Save Changes

How are you "storing" all of your profiles.....in the processes list box in the main S3D screen, or via the Update Profile and/or Save as New buttons on the FFF Settings pop-up window??? I suspect the former....which means you're not saving anything anywhere....and are in danger of losing the lot! R...

Re: Print preview does not match shape

The "missing" lip is thinner than the extrusion width that you have set up in your settings....and S3D will refuse to print it as a way of advising you that the shape cannot be printed. Obvious, isn't it?? What you need to do is to change the Thin Wall Behaviour in the Advanced tab. Change the Exter...

Re: Transfering Profiles Across SSDs

The fact that profiles are not stored in a way that they can be retrieved by use of file utilities is well documented on the forum. They're held in the registry on Windows....and in a similar sort of place on Macs, etc. equally inaccessible to users! There are a few places you can manually extract p...

Re: Thin Wall Slicing Issue

It's single walled throughout. ……….assuming you mean that the faces are single-sided. If so, then that's your problem. A shape has to be solid to be able to be printed.....unless you're wanting to do "vase mode" printing, and then you'll have to tick the option "Merge all outlines into a single sol...

Re: Master Settings Database - User Populated

I couldn't agree more. Every printer in its environment is different to every other printer. Even one printer can print differently at differing times of the year....different temperature, different humidity, etc., etc. As stated, the most important thing to remember is understanding what the settin...

Re: Geetech A30 profile anybody?

Just for information...this is a user forum, not a support forum.

If you are looking for a direct answer from Simplify3D, then its best to use the "Contact Us" page.

Re: Supports not shown, but added during preview

An alternative would be to set the Support Pillar resolution in your settings to 99.....and then when you open up the Support Generation window, before you click Generate Automatic Supports or start to add manual supports, change the resolution to a sensible value.

Re: Alfawise U20 printer displays "Print finished" although it never started to print !

Two questions.... Have you contacted SImplify3D's support to ask if they have a profile they know works?? Have you compared the GCODE files produced by S3D and Cura to see if there are any glaring differences in the lines at the start and end of the print? If there are no other U20 users on the foru...
