Re: Offset of 2nd extruder not taking effect

Ahh, that helps. I hadn't noticed that check box, or didn't understand what it does. I'll use it for a few prints, then when everything is lining up I'll input the values in the firmware. I'd probably have done it in the firmware before but the manufacturer's guide didn't instruct to do it that way....

Re: Offset of 2nd extruder not taking effect

Compound, I'll try that solution. I wasn't even sure if the offsets can de done in the firmware, but I'll dig around & find it. However, this still doesn't address the fact that the offset controls in S3D (at least version 3.1.0) aren't working. Since they're there I should be able to use them. ...

Offset of 2nd extruder not taking effect

Hi, I've been using S3D for a few years now, and just recently decided I should learn to use the second extruder on my MendelMax 3. My first object eventualy worked out, but as it turns out what I was doing wasn't the best way. I had created 2 objects to be printed together, and used the dual extrus...

Tubes not getting enough filament?

I've asked about this once before with a less obvious example, but this time I hope the problem is quite apparent. The central tube in this waterwheel model has way less filament in the outer reaches of the central tube than the inner are of the tube. My theory is that instead of extruding enough fo...

Re: Bad extrusion when outlining holes

Thanks Joe, but the small circles aren't being printed on the first layer. They should be printed on top of the "bottom" of the case, which is about 10 layers high. I always watch the first layer carefully to be sure it's adhering well. Also, I had the same problem with another part that h...

Bad extrusion when outlining holes

It seems like I'm experiencing a bug regarding how much filament is extruded when the printer is drawing the outline for a hole. This has been happening for a while, but I just ignored it, but now I can't get a good print for a part I really need. The problem is any area that should have a circular ...
