HIPS material raft settings

We're using HIPS filament to print cheap prototypes and visual pieces, and we've had a problem with the raft sticking too well to the part. I was hoping someone on here has good settings for using a raft in HIPS material...

Re: Brim acting weird

We are actually seeing this issue across the bed in different areas anytime we use a brim--and only on the brim, not on the bottom layer of the actual part. We clean the bed every few parts.

Re: Brim acting weird

That probably is what we'll end up having to do to run, but I'm still wondering why the interior perimeters on the brim print all strangely...

Re: Brim acting weird

Yes it does--the photo I attached to my original post is at the slower speed. If run at the default speed settings from Simplify3D, the third or fourth perimeter of the brim peels the rest of the brim up...

Re: Brim acting weird

We've tried that with no success. Why is the outside of the brim and the part profile sticking fine, but the interior of the brim isn't sticking right?

Conflict when using multiple processes to define multi parts

I'm needing to use a separate process to define each of 5 identical parts in a build (to locate the start point in a specific location relative to the parts themselves), but when I use separate processes I don't get the speed benefit of running multiple parts in regards to each layers minimum time. ...

Brim acting weird

The brim would be a nice feature if it would work, but I have not had success with it unless I manually slow down it's speed to 25%. The first two shells of the brim seem to print ok, and then the third comes along and peels the first two off the plate, and even when I'm running the brim at 25% at t...

Brim / Support adhesion to bed

I would like to be able to adjust the speed of the first layer of the print--not just the first layer of the actual part, but all layers that touch the buildplate--i.e. the brim / support... Right now, we're having to manually slow down the machine during the brim process because the brim is running...
