I made my own test part to make sure I was measuring against the correct sizes.
Plus the one I made is super simple, no round edges, just straight lines so there is no problem with arc or curve interpretation by the slicer.
Hi, (this issue has been reported before: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1229) I've created a simple test part with 50 x 50 mm and with 2.5mm of wall, that would give a internal home of 45 x 45mm. While the external dimensions are ok, 50,04 x 50,07 mm. http://i1097.photobucket.com/...
I actually would welcome this. It may not be something to use for every single part but for doing quick prototypes. Actually that is exactly what they mention. "As we’ve learned from professional users, not all prints need to be durable, dense, or heavy. When surface quality and print speed are more...
Prusa Printers just announced that they have integrated the feature in Slic3r software. No longer needs to run manual scripts, it is not part of the UI options. The results look very good. Shouldn't be percentage but rather a absolute value like it is now for printing speed or non-printing moves. This would be a nice feature and it would help speed up printing a bit, infill in interior to the part so lower precision isn't a issue as it won't be seen. If that precision is needed it wou...
Thanks, I had already disable it before. Actually noticed a massive increase in quality after doing it but on the tests above it was already disabled. I'm starting to think this is not just speed related but also links to rectract. My extruder is a direct drive and I was using 1.80mm / 25mm/s for re...
Hi, I have the settings producing good results except for one situation that I've tried to fix but so far I can't. See the example below: http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g359/nandox7/part_problem_zps4jegxpv7.jpg~original The overall quality is great but there some clear marks aligned to the hole...
