Re: Must disconnect and reconnect -S3D 2.2.2 - Replicator 2

I think this is somewhat a symptom of how the whole program has been designed....ie by a programmer, not by a user! PAUSE - stop issuing commands to the printer in anticipation of there being a restart STOP - Stop issuing commands to the printer. Full stop! EMERGENCY STOP - Abort the print process,...

Must disconnect and reconnect -S3D 2.2.2 - Replicator 2 HBP

If for some reason I need to stop the build by pressing the STOP button not the EMERGENCY STOP just the normal STOP button it stops the build but I can not start another build unless I hit the Disconnect button and then the Reconnect button before clicking the Begin Printing over USB. Re: Split one large model and glue together.

That'll definitely work! For the top part, you could just double-click your model and drop it 65 mm below the bed. The slicer won't slice anything below your bed, so in the G-Code created (you can verify this in the previewer), it'll just print the top portion. But the way you described will work a...

Re: Split one large model and glue together.

Figured out how to do it. Not sure if it is recommended but seems to work just fine. So lets say I want to print a Stanley cup to 9 inches. I can simply scale the model appropriately then find a good place to split the print that will glue together good. Lets say that I determine that 65mm is a good...

Split one large model and glue together.

I have a model that is too tall for my build platform. Can I tell S3D to print to X height first then tell it to start printing from X height but to start the build on the build platform and not in mid air?

Re: Replicator 2 with HBP Settings

For those just starting out trying to setup S3D with a Replicator 2 and HBP... Racked my brain for a while on this so let me give my settings for any new people who have this setup. First setup your bot using HELP > Configuration Assistant > Makerbot Replicator 2 then... Tools > Firmware Configurati...

Re: Replicator 2 with HBP - Preheats bed always.

Go to Tools > FIrmware Configuration, and under the X3G tab, make sure you have Replicator 2 with HBP selected. In your FFF Settings, add a temperature controller in the Temperature tab, and make sure the type is heated build platform. Then in your starting G-Code, find where it says: M104 S[extrud...

Replicator 2 with HBP - Preheats bed always. SOLVED

I have a replicator 2 with a HBP installed. The issue I have is when ever I go to print it heats the build plate up to what ever the preheat settings in the firmware are, Instead of S3D controlling the temperature I have to change it in the preheat settings on the control panel of the bot itself. I ...
