Re: huge blob at start..nozzle wipe?

this is part of your start script. you can change that right in your process. what is supposed to happen is the nozzle is supposed to move just off the build platform, extrude 20mm then use the edge of the bed to scrape or wipe the hanging string from the nozzle. not sure why yours is extruding ont...

Re: "Support at build plate only" (ie dont fill tubes!)

in the meantime, you can use the cross section tool to see where the interior suppor will be and manually remove it before you prepare to print. It's actually quite easy to do.

Re: Seeking advice on holes in top of print

I could see this working with higher % infill at the bottom and lesser % near the top, but would it work well the other way around? I would think that you would have to gradually increase the % through many layers so that the denser infill doesn't fall through the less dense infill. The OP needs the...

Re: Why switch to Simplify3D?

I recently started using Simplify3D. I mainly did it for two reasons. 1) it seems to handle complicated (read large file size) .stl files much better and slicing time is very fast...and 2) more/easier control over support material. I like the UI as well - though it did take a while to get used to. I...

Re: Pre-Print Staggered Heat up Settings

I do that now. I'm looking for a way to press the print button and then walk away and know that the hotend won't start heating up until the bed is within say 10 degrees of it's target.

Re: Pre-Print Staggered Heat up Settings

That's a good tip. Seems like it would be nice to have a UI where you can simply enter the bed temp to trigger the hotend heatup rather than having to go into the Gcode to make changes, IMO.

Re: Remaining time to end print

I'm running ver. 2.2.2 and I see the % and the remaining minutes on the control page.

Pre-Print Staggered Heat up Settings

I'm new to S3d so there may be a way to do this already but if not, here's the request. When you hit the print button, both the heat bed and hotend begin heating up. Usually the heat bed takes a lot longer to heat up so the entire time the hotend sits there cooking the filament. It would be great to...
