Re: Stop printer pause at the end of every layer

"Retraction vertical lift" (AKA Z lift) might also be a possibility. This setting raises the hotend briefly following an extrusion. Mine is set to 0mm. Some find Z lift helps with their final result FWIW. This setting is located on the "Extruder" tab under "Ooze Control".

A couple easy to implement suggestions

I would really like 2 easy additions: 1) Place to enter and maintain notes regarding filament, settings, etc. 2) Ability to "lock" the "Infill Percentage" slide horizontally across the top with a toggle switch. I find this is accidentally changed when making routine setting adjus...

Gcode Macros disappear

I've tried creating macros several times, but they eventually disappear. I'm referring specifically to entering gcode in Tools -> Firmware Configuration -> Macros. The macros I create become available to me in the "Machine Control Panel". However, my macros disappear after a few uses. I th...

Re: My Windows 10 trial....

I'll add my own experience as it might be potentially helpful. I tried upgrading my laptop from Win7 which did not go very well (not related to S3D, but more a result of ghosts in the machine). I ended up starting from scratch (wiped HD, installed Win7, upgraded to Win10) and everything worked great...

Re: Priming?

I don't think I can answer that question with confidence. I'm not familiar enough with gcode, let alone your specific printer. I'm sure someone else here can comment.

Re: Priming?

Yes, this is what I do. I've included my starting gcode below. Basically, it brings the hot end to the origin of my print bed (closest to me) then raises the nozzle up 30mm It then extrudes 25mm of filament. On my system, 25mm seems to be the right amount to get a consistent extrusion when going fro...

Re: Where has the list of profiles gone ?

The current saved state of your profile on a WIN system is located at: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Simplify3D\S3D-Software\savedState.factory if that is helpful. This file is updated every time you make a change to your profile and hit the "OK" button. I don't know how this is more h...

Re: Where has the list of profiles gone ?

I may not be understanding your problem. But when you export a profile, you select to which folder on your system you want the profile exported. User selectable. Try exporting your profiles to your desktop?

Re: Where has the list of profiles gone ?

I figured the whole point of keeping the profiles in the cloud is so the company can update profile changes centrally when new features are added. Personally, in version 2.x I would delete all the printer profiles except the one printer I own. After I made the config changes I wanted I would save my...
