I've been reluctantly experimenting with Cura. Been a devoted fan of S3D, been using since 3, but unfortunately there are some quality issues that S3D has that Cura doesn't out of the box - that isn't to say S3D can't be tweaked to perform better, but I haven't yet found a solution for some issues. ...

Excellent! That's what it appeared to be doing, but wanted to check as I have a process that uses a .3mm nozzle and a .3mm perimeter width.

How does changing the extrusion width effect the extrusion rate? Thanks for trying that out - I'll bring it into Magics on Monday and see what it can do (from what I recall, there aren't any limitations).

Would you mind posting the repaired file? I'll run through to see if the defects remain. It seems the shared workstations (which have the program I usually use) are closed for the weekend.

S3D v4.0.0 - same distortions as 4.0.1
S3D v3.1.0 - I stopped at this version, but was curious what it would do. This had some small repeating defects.

For all of these I tried rotating the model, but the defects traveled with the surface they were on. From version to version, the defects were NOT in the same place.
