Re: ANET ET4 Profile

Have you contacted support? They have almost always had profiles for newer printers that they're working on that haven't been included in the software's officially supported list yet. I've asked them for help with newer machines multiple times.

Re: Dual extrusion standby temp

That's a workaround and doesn't necessarily work: Some layers may take a long time to print, several minutes. Let's say a layer takes 5 minutes to print, of which the first 4 minutes is PLA and then 1 minute is PVA. So, during all the PVA layers, the PVA is getting fried 4 minutes and printing 1 mi...

Re: Settings for Sharp Edges

The software has the same thin wall settings for almost every profile I've ever seen. I take that to mean those were some agreed upon good starting points but definitely not dialed in specifically for each model of printer. Calibrating them for your printer and brand of filament is something I've al...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

If V5 has features I think I'll use, I will purchase it. I've enjoyed my fair share of free updates in the past.

Retraction Script

I ran across something cool today. I needed to move the extruder head prior to retracting. I found out I could script this after emailing support. Since I didn't see this posted anywhere, I figured I'd share with the community. This is the structure they sent me. ; ***** pre-retraction code ***** ; ...

Re: print speed updates in every material?

Thanks. What I'm seeing makes a lot more sense now. It would be a lot easier if I could edit these things in the software, or at the very least have a display option that shows what's attached to what behind the scenes.

print speed updates in every material?

I'm having trouble understanding why when I add a new material option for flexible filament and change the printing speed it then changes the printing speed for all of my other materials as well. Same happens if I try to change the speed of just ABS to something quicker. My PLA then picks up that sa...

Re: Water Soluble Support

This would be really convenient. Currently the only way to do it would be through the use of multiple processes, which is only practical if all of your dense support is around the same Z height.

Re: Scale by size

Hi scoob, You can quite easily scale in the X, Y, and Z planes. In order to do this you must uncheck uniform scaling from the model settings window. You can open the model settings window by double clicking on your model. Once you have unchecked uniform scaling you can scale the model in whatever pl...
