Re: OctoPrint in 5.1

Are you using the latest V5.1.2. release? There were already improvements published in prior releases that included the ability to enter .local domain names instead of the IP. It looks like the main one was from 5.1.1 (https://www.simplify3d.com/products/sim ... ase-notes/).

Re: Toplayer extrusion width control

There are several settings for the top layer on the Infill tab. You would typically adjust the "top layer extrusion modifier" if you need slightly more or less plastic on the top layers. Note that "top layers" refers to any surface that is visible from the top of the part, not ju...

Re: FFCP2 Dual Extruder Z Offset and crossing paths

If the nozzles are physically a different height, then you can typically enter a different toolhead Z offset in the firmware. Besides that, you can also add a retraction vertical lift of 0.5mm or so in Simplify3D so that it lifts an extra amount before moving to a new location. That can help avoid o...

Re: Geeetech A10t Feeders

In S3D, you can usually change the "Auto-Configure for Extruders" drop down list to select only a single extruder if that's all you intend to use.

Re: Flying supports

That looks like a very large expansion distance... Have you tried lowering it to more like 0.5mm? That should be plenty to move the blobs away from the print and then you won't have such large overhangs.

Re: configuration wizard not showing listet printers

For machines that have all sorts of different configuration options (different toolheads, different build volumes, different filament feeders, etc) we frequently aren't able to provide all of those variations directly in the software. In that case, just contact our team directly at the link below ex...

Re: Change number format to decimal place instead of comma

So you're saying that setting all language and region settings back to English still doesn't change it from a comma to a period? Perhaps you need to select English USA instead of English UK?

Re: control slider infill percentage S3D 5.1.2

There's actually several different infill percentages in V5 now, so that's part of the reason it was moved. You can control the sparse infill, dense infill, top layers, etc. We located all of those infill percentages together on the Infill tab. You can also use the quick settings search in the top r...

Re: Strange missing partial layer when sliced

The merge all boundaries option basically fills in all the holes in the layer. It's useful if the mesh had incorrect normals or lots of invalid internal geometry. It can also be useful for vase mode if you know you only want to print the outer outline of the part and want to ignore internal holes.
