Re: File is not slicing correctly.

If you look at the area between the 2 holes in the top left of the part, there's a spot where the body reduces down to zero thickness. Try giving the part real valid thickness and it might help with some of the issues. As other mentioned, there's also quite a few built-in repair options explained he...

Re: Simplify3D support for Elegoo Neptune 4 MAX

The Neptune 4 Max runs Klipper and Simplify3D V5 already supports network connections to Klipper-based printers. You should be able to use the included S3D Connection Wizard to setup a connection to the printer.

Re: File is not slicing correctly.

That's the .fff file. You can export a factory file by going to File > Save Factory File As.

Re: Fan behavior

You can always go to Tools > Variable Settings Wizard to use different settings for the first few layers of the print. For example, you could create one process for Z=0 to Z=0.2mm and disable the fan completely for that region. Then the second process from Z=0.2 to Z=100mm could use regular settings...

Re: No Issue, just thanks!

That's great to hear about your results! I know the team spends quite a bit of time with each new machine to make sure our stock settings produce good results, so I'm glad their work is paying off.

Re: Probe Z Value like Parameter in script

I'm not sure I fully understand your post and what you're trying to accomplish, but I know there's a [current_position_z] variable that might be useful. It just gets replaced with the current toolhead Z position when that script is executed.

Re: Inconsistent slicing

Those .stl files have a lot of mesh issues. There's holes, self-intersections, missing faces, and all sorts of bad stuff. Might be good to try repairing them first. There's more info about this topic in the article below if you haven't read it yet: https://www.simplify3d.com/resources/articles/ident...

Re: Prime Pillar Tube Shape For Warp Prone Filament

Interesting idea! Just to add another suggestion - you could also try adding a brim to the prime pillar. If you add several outlines to the brim it will end up getting rounded at those corners so you get round edges instead of square which can help. I've used that with many tall prime pillar that ha...
