Re: White screen

for no reason today simplify 3d does not open. If you're only getting a white window you might want to have a look at this thread: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14895 You might want to check if you can still activate the menu bar by clicking in the top area of the "white windowed...

Re: Can't uninstall Simplify3d

This seems to be an old topic, but since today I encounter exactly the same problem. S3D crashed, did not restart afterwards. Even though I restarted windows several times. Sad, because I need it for work. The title is a bit misleading if you're having trouble starting S3D ^^ You might want to dele...

Does S3D support G2/G3 in preview mode? The arc generation was removed in v2.0 over 6 years ago, it would be
a bit surprising to see the implementation to preview them correctly would have evolved since then...

Re: Output file name format options needed

My only goal really is to call out files based on what machine or profile I used to slice them and I would prefer it to be a prefix anyways since I can then sort by if it's a prefix. I really feel like there is a straight forward, automated way of doing this. I just can't seem to find it. Here's an...

Re: Output file name format options needed

So using this code, cmd /c ren [output_filepath] [output_filename]_2.gcode Nothing happens when I'm saving as a gcode file. it's just StlFileName.gcode. I can tell the slicer is at least recognizing that there's text in this field because it shows up in the .gcode file properties section, but that'...

Re: Blobs on seam

I've uploaded the factory file here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Fb83SiXG9iqoB4h_FKceSfv9xhMG05fH/view?usp=sharing (was too big as attachment) Interesting. So according to the factory files there are absolutely no retracts happening where you can see the spots in the final print? Looking at th...

Re: Vase mode print "chunks of layers" vanish. ??

I figure their must be geometry in the model causing it that I am missing but I can't figure it out. According to netFabb the model reports as 92 shells and has non-closed surfaces. A comparison to the model file before doing the modifications should show if it's the source file or maybe you've mis...

Re: Output file name format options needed

So I put the exact code you have written in the "Additional Commands for Post Processing" field of the Scripts tab and nothing is happening. Is there something else I'm supposed to do or a different place this is supposed to go in order to get this to work? As far as I can tell that doesn't really ...

Re: Layer Starting Point

Is there any easy way to get the coordinates of a specific point in the X-Y plane on the part to print? You can also imagine moving a specific point on the part to a specific coordinate. An "easy" way to get the exact point is using something simple as a 1mm x 1mm x 250mm box STL: start_points_1.JP...

Re: Printing with zero outlines gives an undersized part

if this is something that affects you and your part isn't too high tolerance, you can sort-of jerry-rig it by setting your extrusion width to like 0.05-0.1mm and then multiply your infill size right up to get back to the right size for your nozzle. But it screws up your brims, etc. ...or set infill...
