Hmm... I don't see that at all on my 5th gen using their stock settings. But either way, you can adjust how much it extrudes by lower the extrusion multiplier on the Extruders tab. Try lowering it by 0.05 and then repeat until it looks like it is extruding the correct amount. Are you printing large...

You mentioned that the current 5th generation slicing settings (since the Mini, Replicator and Z18 all have the same extruder) don't work well for you, but you didn't really give details.
