Re: Stop Deleating of Procces with adding a Printer

There are practical reasons to have multiple processes. A few mechanical engineering aspects, for instance - the base of an object may require extra weight for stability - some parts (sections) of an object may endure more stress in use than other parts of it A material behavior aspect, for instance...

Re: Processes disappearing

There is a workaround for what you want to do, Thomas. Save as a factory file, then open any junk object, add your new printer. Then reload your factory file. It'll have your new printer and NOT wipe out your processes. I have to agree, it sounds like a design bug. Another bug to beware of, it will ...

Re: Processes disappearing

What types of processes are you having to add back? Give us an example, and then hopefully we can tell you the best way to do it ;) It sounds like he's got an object with multiple processes to print, and when he adds a new printer, the multiple processes are deleted. So, for example, vase with heav...

Re: Stop Deleating of Procces with adding a Printer

Yikes! Thank you Luchador/Thomas, it sounds like I was about to shoot myself in the foot.

Andrewk72, what is the correct way to save various profiles for various printers?

Re: turn off infill

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Shazam! Netfabb cleaned it up. Thanks Razster. Is this something you do by default? I didn't see any warnings so I'm wondering how you found this.

Re: turn off infill

if your infill is set to zero then it should not be putting any kind of infill. are you sure its infill? in the print preview turn the display mode to feature type and be sure the color of what looks like infill actually is infill. - JoeJ: Advanced tab, and make sure that "merge all outlines i...

turn off infill

Hello,

I'm trying to print this perimeter bed level, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:732257 and can't get Simplify3D to turn off infill. I set Interior Fill Percentage to 0 but it still shows infill in print preview. Is this not the right setting? Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

Re: What causes these kind of print errors?

This one is for all you forensic 3d print investigators out there. This photo shows an example of artifacts I often get on the back of my models on otherwise good prints. These horizontal gaps seem to correspond to where each perimeter begins since I have my start point fixed on the back of the mod...

Re: Bed and extruder Heating.

Default configuration using RepG, delivered with FlashForge Creator Pro, is to heat them both at once. One at a time doesn't appear to be the printer manufacturer setting but a slicer setting.
