Re: Connection error

Quick update: I realized I was still running 4.0.0. I just updated to 4.1.2 and it's working for now.

Re: Connection error

Same problem on Linux (Debian). I find that it usually starts working if I restart my computer, but sometimes it takes a few tries. No firewall in my case, and as of a few months ago this problem didn't exist. It had been fine, and then one day it just started having this connection error. I tried r...

Allow Single Extrusion Fill for Internal Layers Only

Hello, I just discovered the "Allow Single Extrusion Fill" option under Think Wall Behavior, which has reduced build time significantly on some large prints. However, the quality of this kind of infill is such that it can look quite bad on top (external) layers. It would be very nice to be...

Re: Very Large Parts Fail to Slice

What a difference a 0.0.1 version change makes. That fixed it, completely. Thank you.

Oh interesting. I'm on 4.0.0. I'll try upgrading tomorrow and try again.

[FIXED] Very Large Parts Fail to Slice

I haven't previously had cause to print large parts (~500mm on a side), but now that I do I'm finding Simplify3D is having trouble consistently. After clicking "Prepare to Print" it gets to where it says "Calculating Infill..." and then just hangs. The same behavior happens on se...

Re: Multiple Heated Bed Temperature Controllers

P.S.

A better workaround than what I described is to remove the default heated bed controller from the settings altogether and turn all the zones on in the start script. Still not fantastic but at least then the whole bed comes on at once.

Multiple Heated Bed Temperature Controllers

Hello, I have a 5-zone heated bed (four quadrants plus perimeter heat) running with a Duet+Duex5, which supports multiple bed heater outputs as of the latest firmware release. I found a reference to someone saying Simplify3D supports multiple bed heaters (https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: Please make profile change prompt optional

+1 I suggested this well over a year ago but, I think, didn't word the suggestion as clearly as you. Of all the things I could think to change with this [wonderful] software, this is my #1. Because of this issue I'm very careful to export my FFF profile when I make a change. Occasionally I'll wipe o...

Re: A notes section

I know this is an old topic but +1. A notes panel in the FFF settings window would be extremely useful.
