Re: Script Wrong

Can this be changed so that it first sets all temperatures and only then waits for them all to be reached? It is a pain waiting for heating to be completed in a one by one manner.

Re: Lines on the Side of Print

It looks like the infill pattern 'shines through'. Are you printing a solid infill layer each x layers? That could be responsible for the horizontal lines, if a thin wall is being used, say only one or two shells.

Re: Solid layers on top of infill are all messed up

I have seen more consistent results if the solid layers and the infill are not both based on a +/-45° pattern. I usually use +/-45 infill on a 0/90° solid. That way, no matter what happens topologically, there is always an even angular difference of 45° between subsequent layers. (Besides that, the ...

Re: 3D Mouse

I use the 3Dconenexion Space navigator with SolidWorks and find myself grabbing for it in S3D out of habit. Just the same here, only with Ansys Spaceclaim. I have the space navigator and the space traveller, and I find myself reaching out for them as soon as I want to rotate a model. Even FreeCAD i...

Re: More way to create custom supports

I second that. While it is nice to be able to put support in certain locations, it is usually about areas that need support. May I suggest displaying the 'shadow' of the part on the ground plane and providing a paint tool that allows to either paint on the ground to add support or at the underside o...

Re: Squawking extruder problem... seems to be software.

Why would you want to wipe the nozzle on a single extruder kossel during a print at all? There is a setting for the max extrusion speed, you may want to set it to a speed your extruder is actually capable of extruding at, so no matter what length of filament feed you get at wipe nozzle, it will not ...

Re: I can't login ?

I just had to go though that process myself. It looks like in order to reset one's password, one will need to enter the user name AND the associated email address, which might be difficult in case someone has indeed lost his user account info. After a few blind shots, I was lucky to stumble upon a "...

Online login required each time, no setting stored

Each time I start up Simplify3D, it has me log in online just as if it was a brand new install. S3D also does not remember my login (box checked) and will not write any settings. All adjustments to the profile I make are not saved, even if I save profiles with a new name and all. After each two logi...

Re: [BUG] Buildplatform size wrong.

The above proposed is but a workaround, not a solution. Using the inner square is not a valid approach for delta type printers, as some of these indeed have a circular build area. The inner square would cut off too much of it, reducing the printer's usability. Since I also have a delta printer, I'd ...

Re: locked out of resets, have only installed S3D on ONE dev

Sorry for the late answer, I was away for some days. I have just found the time to install the latest version and use the improved permissions script I was sent by support. This did seemingly help with this issue. I can now install Simplyfy3D, register it, make changes to my machine settings, and th...
