Adaptive Layer thickness should adjust top/bottom layer count

I love the new adaptive layer thickness feature, although there one annoying issue: the top and bottom layer count don't adaptively adjust as well. This results in top/bottom surfaces on parts that can be too thick or too thin depending on what the adaptive process is doing. This is a problem becaus...

Re: ABS parts have ripples in lower layers, smooth out at to

I agree that your bed temp is too high. Keep it at 110 for the first layer and then lower it to 90 for the rest.

Re: Warping in S3D but not Cura

For first layer in Cura these are the settings that are on the first layer initial layer thickness mm - 0.3 initial layer line width (%) - 100 cut off object bottom (mm) - 0.0 dual extrusion overlap (0.15) This is a single extruder so it doesn't apply on this printer bottom layer speed is 20 Lookin...

First layer height should be smaller not larger. Try 95% not 135%.

Re: Slicing Without Common Sense

Machines don't have "common sense," if you give it multiple objects it will print them as multiple objects, to avoid this you need to merge them.

Microsoft's model repair website does a great job at merging multiple meshes into one model:

Re: FlashForge ABS on Borosilicate Glass Won't Stick

If you use hairspray make sure you spray 3-4 initial layers, letting it dry between. You won't need to use so much in subsequent preps, but you need to get a good base coating of hairspray on there.

I use the purple-bottle aquanet.

Re: Dense Objects Slide on Print Bed

You're prints aren't sticking well enough to the bed. Looks like you're printing directly on glass, try adding some blue painters tape.

Re: Multiple models with support on only one?

If all you need is to suppress automatic supports, set the support pillar resolution in the process settings to something ridiculously big, such as 1,000mm. S3D won't then create any supports automatically. This is a great idea! The multiple process solution works, but it's a pain. For ease of use,...
