Re: New boy on the block?

Agreed, would have been great to have some faces to the names. In addition to S3D-Rick there's also another new name which I haven't seen before, and that's S3D-Mitch. Good to see that the team is growing, and hopefully that means all is going well with the upcoming new version.

Allow group selection under "Select Models" for process

It is convenient that parts can be grouped and treated as one in the main view, but the grouping isn't shown in the select models dialog box that pops up when you edit a process and press the "Select Models" button. It would have been better if the groups also showed there, so you could qu...

Re: Smarter Raft and Support

+1, this is a good idea. There's really no need for the supports to release easily from the raft, and this should be rather easy to implement as well.

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

I think the mere (and continued) existence of this thread is telling, but I'm not sure exactly what. The way I see it, it can be one of two: 1) Either the doomsday prophets are right, and S3D is on a steady decline into oblivion, and there's a "dont' care" attitude at S3D HQ. or 2) The pro...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

The lack of updates on the update is a bit concerning. June is now a long time ago, and we're even nearing the end of the year, so version 5 should hopefully be close to ready now.

Could the community please have some info on what is going on, and what to expect?

Re: Problems with 4.1, now reverting to 4.00

Your factory file does't slice for me either. S3D just appears to hang at "Finding overhangs" while keeping the CPU busy at 100%. Pressing cancel doesn't work, and if S3D is closed (by pressing the X in the upper right hand corner), the window disappears as if it closes, but S3D leaves a p...

Slices fine for me in 4.1.1 after rotating -90 in X.

No, unfortunately not. The behaviour is still the same.

Re: 4.1 and 4.1.1 Constantly Crashing. 4.0.1 Never Did.

Version 4.01 (and earlier) has always been rock solid for me, but the latest 4.1.1 does crash randomly. This is of course very inconvenient, since you'll lose whatever you were working on. Hopefully the developers can address this, because having reliable software is extremely important. Saving your...

Re: No uploading status?

Most people will print from a memory device, as printing tethered is considered a bad idea (computer must be on, and must not sleep or crash).
