PROBLEM SOLVED After making this post I realized this issue may in fact be related to GYSNC so I disabled it. Simplfy3D was then able to run without any hitches at all. Rather that globally disabling it I changed the Simplyf3D profile in the NVIDIA control panel to Monitor Technology - FIXED REFRES...

Something similar to the variable settings wizard and allows you to enter in some parameters such as range of layer heights wanted and the angles at which the layer height should start reducing/increasing so you can tweak it for you ...

I just switched over to 4.1 toady and have noticed the GUI text doesn't seem crisp like usual. Shown bellow are screenshots comparing 4.0 to 4.1.
