Re: v4.1.2 launched....

Ha!
Spoke too soon.
Spiral mode now includes random stalls, every so often the print head just freezes for .5 sec. Usually at the same point of the circuit (loop). Not helpful..

Layer start-points again: User-created layer start-points

I know there are already several requests for smarter layer start-points, but how about a geometry-based approach? I have been printing a lot of parts lately with multiple islands, and often get zits exactly where I want them least: http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r603/r8racer/Z-Scars_zps5ordcjd...

Re: No Support Magical Setting?

I would print the hydrants (?) separately (with holes/sockets in their bases) then glue them onto the pins after.

Re: Could Simplify3d generate a negative or inside model skirt?

You could create a separate process for the first layer (or more if you want), give it 3 or 4 outline/perimeter shells and zero infill, then continue in vase mode..

Re: text on surface Problem

Looks like you may have some overlapping or non-watertight geometry. Use the mesh diagnostics in the Repair tab, or Meshmixer is also good at finding and fixing mesh problems

Re: Variable Lateral Infill -- Is It Possible?

It took a bit of digging around before I found how to assign the right process to the right part, so jic you are having the same trouble, here's how:
Pick a process, then go to FFF settings and hit the 'select models' button and pick the model parts you want. Do this for each process..

Re: Partial Infill-Density on Model (not layer based)

I guess you have figured this out by now, but just in case, here is the solution: I think you are assigning both processes to both parts of your model, so that it gets printed twice. To make sure each part only has one process assigned, go to FFF settings/extruder tab, and near bottom left hit the b...
