Re: Copyright notices in Simplify3D

I would contact them directly. One question I have though is why Simplify3D? They've ceased nearly all communication with people regarding the next V5 release that was meant to be released over two years ago I believe. Prusaslicer and Cura surpass S3D. I haven't found a feature that S3D has that the...

Re: I tested Prusaslicer

Don't count it. Nothing of use has come from the S3D team for quite some time now. PrusaSlicer, is outstanding. The UI isn't as polished as S3D, but as someone who as been printing for about 6-7 years, PrusSlicer is the way to go now, in my opinion. Cura is great too but PrusaSlicer I found had far ...

Re: CAD Recommendation to use with S3D

I'm not sure if Fusion360 is available for mac, it should be. Anyway it's "free" as long as you sign up as a maker and have profits less than 100k, I think. That's what I use and haven't paid a cent yet. There is a slight learning curve but not much at all imo. I started out on Solidworks....

4.1.1 Suggestion...finally fix the Check for Update

It's been way to long for this feature to not work. My guess it's a server side issue. Wireshark shows packet being sent up during a Check for Update check from the Help menu. What's in those packets I'm not sure. They very well could contain no information about the current version and the server h...

Re: 4.1

The installer doesn't overwrite the previous installation. It's a whole new installation. You're most likely still starting the older version.

Re: S3D Development Update - Aug 2018

@S3D-Jason Thank you for posting an update!! It will mean a lot to both people whom already purchased Simplify3D and those that are prospective license holders. I myself am quite glad to see this update. I should probably apologize for any negativity I stated towards the Simplify3D team. I'm a devel...

Re: Where is version 4.1?

As was stated yesterday (https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10691#p43318), We're alive, working hard on 4.1, and plan to post a more thorough development update soon. Why was the post "Has Simply3d downsized their developers to null?" locked? I replied to the original po...

Re: Has Simply3d downsized their developers to null?

I would like to know this as well. A while ago I posted about Simply3D lacking in proper development management and customer management. I think I had some backlash but mostly people were in agreement. I have no idea how big or small their development team is but one thing is for sure, they are very...

Dual extrusion with multiple groups?

I'm attempting to print some things that I would like to use dual extrusion for. I've done it before but this time it's different. For this print I was wondering if such feature exist where you can have multiple groups/processes for dual extrusion? When I use the dual extrusion wizard, with all the ...

Re: When will there be an update??

Very curious what features slic3r currently has the Simplify3D doesn't. Care to elaborate? Try printing support interface with a second extruder on S3D, you can't. A feature that is so far overdue, it's in a way, pathetic. The other features only deal with me but Slic3r is a plug and play process w...
