Re: Printing an odd shape.

hiya, I had a look. it's an awkward shape that's for sure. am not sure how you orientated it, but I set it flat as best as possible. I noticed you haven't added any dense layers as part of you support structure. This may help more. adding some inflation to spread it out a bit. I've saved the factor...

Re: Printing an odd shape.

What material are you trying to print with? The link posted is a good starting point but I'm finding that material selection is just as important. For what it's worth, when I need good layer adhesion PETG is my go to material. Currently I am using PLA. I am intending to move to a Nylon bridge once ...

Re: Printing an odd shape.

I would read the link below. It talks about the main reasons why layers wouldn't adhere together. https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/#layer-separation-and-splitting I've looked at this link before but unfortunately haven't been able to determine how any of it might hel...

Printing an odd shape.

I have posted some vague questions on this before but have yet to get the print working myself. In this post I will be including the factory file as well as the STL. The prints I am getting have poor layer adhesion and I am uncertain how to correct this. I am using an Ultimaker 2 with a 1.6mm nozzle...

Re: Attempting to print a bowl shape

From your vague description of the issue you have, I think it may be the same problem as described in this thread...but at a different point in the model: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3677 If it is, temporarily modifying your layer height by a very small amount....for exampl...

Attempting to print a bowl shape

I have a bowl shape that I am trying to print. When I am done placing the model in simplified 3d's model view & go to "prepare to print", the bottom of the bowl gets "flattened" on the inside. The model looks fine up till this point. Has anyone dealt with this problem before?...

Printing outside of curved surface.

I am new to 3D printing and would like some advice. I recently began working for a company that prints some simple parts, but there are issues that I would like to resolve, for a consistent print quality. The parts we print are flat, 1.8 mm thick, but curved. We print them standing on the side with ...
