Re: Remove "Lasso" for Supports

I'm very surprised this thread hasn't received more "+1" responses. I think this feature should be implemented ASAP. I can't tell you how many times I've had to waste 10-20 minutes painstakingly removing automatically generated supports one at a time, cursing under my breath and thinking, ...

Re: Feature Request: Provide support for 3D Mouse

This would certainly be a nice feature.

Re: Bed temperature doesn't follow material auto-configurati

Thanks, SimpleScott! Yup, I've searched the forums and I've edited my FFF files accordingly, but I still can't get the bed temp to stick for some of my materials for some reason. Some of them cooperate, but others don't even though I've set them all up the same way...

Re: Bed temperature doesn't follow material auto-configurati

Hmm. Never mind. It seemed to work at first, but now it doesn't. Bed temp isn't saved with material. I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be much mention of this bug here on the forum.

Re: Bed temperature doesn't follow material auto-configurati

I tried figuring out what was missing in the profile, but eventually ended up just creating a new one. I think what was happening was that the extruder and/or bed in the temperature controller list had different names for different material auto-configurations, which seems to make simplify3d confus...

Re: Need Adjustable Speed for shells other than outer shell

Yes, this is a big complaint I have about Simplify3D. It's especially a problem if you're using more that two shells, because each interior shell prints progressively faster, inevitably leading to under extrusion for the innermost shell(s) even if the other settings are dialed in perfectly. If there...

Re: Preview layers shifted up or missing

Thanks, Carl. I'll give that a shot.

So, if I were using 0.1mm layers at the top of each section, I'd have to include 4 of them?

Re: Preview layers shifted up or missing

To save me repeating something written in another thread......take a look here: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3802 Essentially, you need to change profiles at a distance equal to an exact number of layers.....and only full layers will be printed - the last layer will not be t...

Preview layers shifted up or missing

I'm trying to figure out a way to combine thick layers with thinner top layers to get smoother top surfaces, so I modeled a test object consisting of three sections: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/600679/test_model.png The object is 15mm tall; each of the three sections are 5mm high. I used 0.4...
