Re: What new features are in v5 that are not already available in free slicers?

For me its the following 1. Faster slicing and ability to use highly complex models without crashing/freezing 2. Better support structures, they print and remove easier, though I am very interested in tree supports when PS brings them out, and hope S3D follow with this 3. Multi processes are just do...

Re: Numerical Selection Boxes Need To Increment In Smaller Values

Are there any other inputs besides filament diameter that seem to be a problem? In general, think the goal is to change the input by a reasonable amount so that a user wouldn't have to press up or down too many times to make a change. Just make all boxes increase and decrease by 1, when your tweaki...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

In another thread somebody posted a ''Way back machine'' link and as far as I can see Simplify3D never stated you would get free updates for life. I laughed at this post...the guys been using it for 2+ years now and want a refund because its a paid upgrade. Holy crap even if its the same price agai...

Re: Version 3.1.0

If like me you have been waiting to connect your Dreamer with 2.4 FW than this is a great release. Thanks for the update. on Face value not much has changed other than newer/updated printers but from reading the release notes there are a lot of behind the scenes refinements that most users probably ...

Re: Update?

As has been said many times, this is a user forum. If you want to ask their developers about the next update, you need to email them directly: https://www.simplify3d.com/contact-us/ I've exchanged many emails with their employees and it's definitely clear that they are busy working on future update...

Re: Flashforge Dreamer Firmware 2.4 Problems

The problem is that they are taking so long to get the update out, the new Flashforge Dreamers shipping need to be downgraded out of the box to work properly as advertised with S3D. This is just as much Simplify3D's issue as it is Flashforges due to the fact that some bright person thought it great ...

Re: Free gcode editor

I tried it on a 4.8MB Gcode file and it was hideously slow to complete loading /displaying the file. And this is on a Win10 3GHz i7 system. I gave up trying to do anything because every time I tried to do anything it went into "Not responding" state. I tried it on a 5MB Gcode file and it ...

Re: File extension

The dreamer reads .gcode and .g, You can save either one, there's no difference. If it's really bugging you, just put the following line in your "additional commands for post-processing" script: {EXTENSION "g"} Thanks for that tip....an FYI though my dreamer doesn't recognize th...

Re: File extension

Their stock profile saves as .g3drem. I'm using it right now. If you modified their stock profile, it's possible you changed that, so that's why I recommended re-downloading it. One other thing to note - when you click "Save Toolpaths to Disk", it may prompt you with a name that ends in ....

Re: Release cycle of S3D

Many software packages have more frequent releases than this... Most commercial software packages have a release once or twice a year at MOST. What software are you thinking of that releases more frequently than quarterly? Well I can think of many....Windows, Office, Adobe Products, Autodesk , Core...
