Re: G-Code

My printers are getting old and parts are needing replacement parts, repairs and other recalibrations etc As such, I'm going through a period where I sometimes have to terminate a print midway. Considering that the print already completed can be several hours in time, I often try to salvage those pr...

Re: G-Code

Thanks.

Mainly I wasn't certain if S3D could somehow "pick and use" some parts of the code behind the semi-colons.
Also, I found this and it may help

G-Code

In the G-Code files produced by S3D when creating an x3g file, can ALL the lines with a semi-colon in front of them be interpreted to mean they do nothing? In other words, a semi-colon in the beginning of ANY line means the rest of that line is totally ignored by the machine and is there ONLY for do...

What would cause a print to inflate vertically?

I'm printing an object that is approximately 3 x 4 inches and 4mm thick (Z height) and flat. After about 4 or 5 layers, the print nozzle seems to get closer and closer to the print and I begin to get drags and blobs in the print so the only way to correct the problem is to adjust the bed height manu...

Re: Simple Qestion - Do Stepper Driver Boards Go Bad?

Thanks. Fortunately, mine has removable stepper drivers. It's a MightBoard from a FlashForge Creator Pro Dual Clone. I've already ordered new stepper driver boards....on the way. I do a fair amount of PC board work and I've gone over this board with my loupe and can't find anything. Nothing burned o...

Re: CTC Dual - Help please...

The first think I would like to know is ....... Have you EVER had success printing with this printer? Or is it a newly obtained printer and you're still trying to get it dialed in? At one time a year or so ago I bought a CTC 3D printer and was not able to get it to ever print properly. I returned it...

Re: Prints stopping half-way through

I would check ALL the connections to the mainboard and power supply to see if any wave vibrated loose, causing an intermittant loss of power or communications signal. Overheating can also cause this to happen. If you have a laser thermometer, check the temps of the Stepper motors as your print progr...

Re: not sure what is causing this ..

I agree with Doug. You need supports everywhere underneath. Your material choice says 'polycarbonate". Are you really printing with Polycarbonate? If so, you need temps of 290-310C to print with PC. My printers won't do that. But since the material I see in your photo is black....can you explicitly ...

Simple Qestion - Do Stepper Driver Boards Go Bad?

Can't get any of my printers to print any longer. Constant problems that seem beyond simple calibrations and adjustments. The machines in question have between 3,000 hours and 5,000 hours printing time on them. Do the actual Stepper Driver boards go bad? Is that a common problem? Specifically, has a...
