JoeJ, yes at the start of the next loop is what I meant. Just something that is applied at the start of the next loop after a coast has occurred. "retraction extra restart distance" requires a retract to add the extra length. I'm more concerned with cases in which a retract wasn't performe...

I've recently had a lot of success by using fairly long "Coast at End" distances with the Volcano (plus I have ~1m Bowden tube). For PLA, this distance is generally in the range of 1.5-2.0mm. Not sure on the length of your Bowden tube or the retraction speed that you're capable of, but I'm...

I am currently using a fairly long Bowden tube (1000mm) and an extended melt zone hotend (E3D Volcano).
