Re: Tree like support etc

CraftWare can kind of do it too. This would be a really nice feature!

Re: Please add brim for support

Wouldn't this problem be solved if the dense support layers were printed for supports touching the build plate as well? Alternatively there could be an option called "solid support layers on build plate" which would add X solid layers to support structures touching the build plate. A nice ...

Re: Outer perimeter for support

There are multiple paths you can take to avoid this problem, sorted by how much more filament they will use: First of all you could try to rotate the support angle (under the support tab) from 0 to something that fits your model, if it's just needed in one particular direction. If you only need to s...

Re: Process window and slicing preview window side-by-side

The problem with slicing taking time could easily be done away with by indicating that the part is out of date (colors, tooltip, overlays) while the slicing is done in the background. Another option would be to have a button to switch the default model view between either preview or model manipulati...

Re: Cutoff top aka top layers with open top.

I don't think this would be easy to achieve in simplify. However you could take it into a modeling software and clone it, make the clone a little bit smaller and then arrange it such that you can subtract the clone from the original model leaving you with a wall and an open top. Somewhat like taking...

Re: Multiple object printing (object by object)

You can save your settings by clicking "update profile" in the process settings. This allows you to create new processes with exactly the same settings as your current ones. After you have done that you want to create a process for each of the models and select only one model per process. ...

Re: variable retraction

Yes please! It would be awesome if the same functionality would be implemented for coast and wipe. Maybe set a minimum and maximum retraction distance and the extrusion distances required for min and max retract and calculate a percentage based on that. Example: Min retract: 1mm Min extrusion length...

Minimal extrusion length before coast

So I have run into the following issue with my printer and simplify: I require negative extra retraction distance, coast, wipe and retract while wipe for some filaments to get rid of stringing. The problem is that in prints that have some small parts using those settings leads to parts of the print ...

Re: Adjustable infill

I too would love to see this. There is a kind of similar option in slic3r called only infill where needed. This makes it so that the infill is only printed where there is something it must support. This feature alone would save a huge amount of infill.
