Nozzle crossing top layer making scars

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I could not find any threads on it – so I'm sorry if this is a repeat. Now, I'm getting lines in my top layers because the nozzle is crossing over, leaving these ugly lines/scars. Is there any way to avoid this, with a z-lift on travel or similar? See exa...

Re: Model get's "broken" when I Prepare to print

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys!
I'll give "Mesh > Separate Connected Surfaces" when I get home tonight, that sounds about right.

If not, Meshmixer.

Model get's "broken" when I Prepare to print

Hi I have been using S3D for a while, but never had this happen before. When I click "Prepare to Print!" the model changes it's characteristics. The overlapping parts are simply removed, making the model useless. Moedeled in Fusion 360. See the pictures. https://d3vv6lp55qjaqc.cloudfront.n...

Re: Supports not being printed properly

Ah yes, in the end I printed only the head as that was giving me the most problems.

Re: Supports not being printed properly

Well the photo you posted isn't working either, but I'll take a guess. Your factory file only has a tiny little hook that is above the build platform that could need support. The hook is only about 2mm wide, but you currently have your support pillar size set to 5mm! There's no way a 5mm pillar wil...

Supports not being printed properly

I have problems with supports not being printed as they should. Now, the exact same model sliced in Cura comes out perfect. So I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong in S3D? What could cause this? http://cl.ly/3w0F3M1z3R0G/Image%202015-12-18%20at%2011.50.08%20am.png http://cl.ly/3w0F3M1z3R0G/Image%20201...
