DRV8825 has higher drive current capability (2.5A vs. A4988 of 2A). You won't use the 2.5A, but it means the DRV8825 will not overheat as quickly. Sometimes I have the hardest time trying to get support pillars to stick properly to the build surface. Everything else sticks fine, but I'll get a small little piece of support material peel up, and then it manages to take out the entire print.
