Re: Small post (cylinder) not printing with solid base

I think I figured it out. After processing with Netfabb, I found some self-intersecting faces. I went back into 3ds Max and used ProBoolean to turn the model into a single object. After a test print, the problem appears to have gone. There's still slight warpage on the base, but it seems much more s...

Small post (cylinder) not printing with solid base

Good afternoon! I have a FlashForge Creator Pro, and it's creating pretty nice prints so far. I have a model I created with a round post attached to a base. The post comes out fine, with the exception of the bottom-most layers. It appears to be poorly attached, and is much narrower than the rest of ...

Re: Slicer behavior for thin walled sections

Okay... I wanted to update my post. It looks like the 05.mm test box I linked to loads up in Netfabb, and I'm measuring 0.24 mm wall thickness! This actually makes much more sense as to why an 0.5mm extrusion width would refuse to attempt printing. http://content.screencast.com/users/CleverCoder/fol...

Re: Slicer behavior for thin walled sections

I'm going out on a limb here, and guessing that this is the reason I'm unable to print an 0.5 mm thin walled test cube: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1637 Using 0.4mm extruder, 0.5mm extrusion width, 1.0 multiplier, in the preview window the cube simply doesn't appear. This is with my FlashForge ...

Re: Slicer losing thin walls/details

Wow.. this is the third issue I've found (I think) with S3D. I'm starting to second-guess my purchase. I'm trying to print the 0.5mm calibration cube. I have a FlashForge Creator Pro, with a 0.4mm nozzle. In the preview, the object doesn't even appear. I have to set the nozzle width to 0.2 and extru...

Re: Bridging bug

I wonder if this is why I keep on failing at getting good bridges. After seeing this thread, I looked at the visualization to see the speed used for bridging. I've set the extrusion multiplier to 75% and speed to a whopping 5%!! Looking at the preview, it appears that the edges of the bridged sectio...
