Re: V5 no longer allows ctrl and alt shortcut to rotate and move

I think ideally 3D navigation would be so configurable that you could make it match whatever 3D CAD software you are using and whatever settings you are using in that software. So in my case, that would be Fusion 360 etc. I still find it jarring to use V5 even though the V4 binds are quite different...

Re: G2/G3 Arc Paths options

You can use the scripts tab terminal commands box to enter shell commands to postprocess gcode. This works perfectly for the command line version of Arc Welder. I just did it in about 10 minutes. If you want to install a binary, you can find them here: https://github.com/FormerLurker/ArcWelderLib/re...

Re: 4.1.1 Suggestion...finally fix the Check for Update

However, version 4.1.1 is now available and Simplify3D 4.1 on my Mac still claims that it is up to date.

Re: Micro pauses in print.

For people who use USB for printing, it would make sense if there was an option to minimize the gcode file. Once possible source for savings would be to eliminate unnecessary digits (you could probably do this pretty easily with a gcode filter). For example this gcode from 4.1.1: G92 E0.0000 G1 X17....

Re: V 4.1 Retraction at layer change and outline crossing

I sliced and printed a 1 hour print and also sliced and examined the gcode from the sample factory file I posted here. As far as I can tell, the pathing and retraction issues are gone without any changes to slicer settings. Retraction settings looked correct and I didn't see even the weird stuff tha...

Application says it's up to date. Account page offers 4.1, but in fact gives you 4.1.1. Somehow I'm not surprised to learn about 4.1.1 this way.

Re: V 4.1 Retraction at layer change and outline crossing

Here's the factory file that produced the gcode in my previous post. Slicing the other part of this assembly (a very similar part) in 4.0.1 produced very good print with no extruder skipping and zero stringing.

Re: V 4.1 Retraction at layer change and outline crossing

Here's some sliced gcode samples. I'm still making sure that this is the issue by printing a similar model using 4.01 (and if that works, maybe re-printing the rather subpar print I got from 4.1). I'll post a factory file later today once I'm done testing. The problem seems to be that 4.1 is behavin...

Bounding for topfill

Imagine you have two boxes stacked on each other, so that the lower box is larger and the top one is smaller. The topfill for the larger box ends up not having a boundary, so the topfill has no outline to connect to and tends to droop down and leave holes. Is there a way to detect this type of situa...

I guess that's done through contacting support... I'll do that.
