Re: Build table grid view

I'd also like if 0,0 was an intersection - but as it is the grid is centered on the bed. If I want to place a part at 50,50 there's no line there since my printer bed is 304.8mm square.

Re: Spiral Floor

Don't have S3D handy, but look at Solid Infill - linear or concentric. Try concentric. It won't spiral out - it will be concentric rings, but that's closer to what you want.

Re: Bad/Lazy support settings

This has been discussed before - and I agree. I could be a little tricky to program, but parts can be run with different layer settings in different processes, the layer height in support should be able to adjust near the contact point to make an absolute distance setting possible. https://forum.sim...

Thanks. I just checked, and for some reason my profile was at 100% of the width. I changed to "auto" and it set it at .48mm (vice .4mm, same size nozzle)

Let me know if that helps. My reply was somewhat speculative. Confirmation would be good.

Re: How to keep corners good when printing fast?

Coming back to this topic with some additional experience, I'd also suggest running an extrusion width about 1.2 x of the nozzle diameter. The plastic expands naturally when it exits the nozzle. Trying to maintain an extrusion width equal to the nozzle diameter requires the stream to be stretched a ...

Sensing an X/Y Shift

At the day job we have a MarkForged MKII printer. I just discovered an interesting feature of this machine. Between layers the head makes a trip to the X/Y Home. I had wondered why it did that. Today I found out. Some support came loose from the bed on the build I was running this morning. I got a n...

Re: 100% Infill Problem

I use 9999 bottom layers when I want a solid part. I find it works better than infill.

Re: First Layer Issues

your build plate is too far from the nozzle. Decrease the starting Z height - you can do that with the G-Code Z offset in S3d, but there should be a hardware adjustment on your printer as well.
