Can you post the start script?

Re: Strange wall slicing - how to turn it off?

Capture.JPG Consider a top or bottom surface with a very shallow angle as shown above. I have the slicer is set to 4 top layers. If the band of solid infill was not added below the perimeters the number of top layers would be only 1 or 2. That's the same thing you're seeing. The angled face with th...

Re: Does the new version have a measuring tool?

There are too many variables outside the control of the slicer to make a feature like that workable, IMHO. The elastic properties of the material as it is being extruded, temperatures, machine dynamics, and more will impact the final fit between mating parts. The slicer would have to have an accurat...

Re: Settings for printing tpu or ninjaflex

I ran Ninjaflex with a .4mm nozzle.
Extrusion multiplier of 1.1 and extrusion width of .5mm
.6 retraction @2400mm/min and 1mm coast
.2mm layer height.
Nozzle temp 250c
No cooling
20mm/sec speed.

S3D is a slicing software package. To do the sort of editing you have specified, you need a CAD package......which S3D is not!
I agree 1010% with this. Slicing and modeling are two distinct tasks. I don't want the tools I use for either to be diluted by trying to do everything.

Re: Need your help on this print. Please

Another option would be to increase your extrusion width a bit to eliminate the fill.

Re: RETRACTIONS ALIGNMENT ERROR

I agree there is room for improvement in your retraction settings, but start points are somewhat broken in the current version. I sometimes have better luck with point alignment in 4.0.

Re: First layer not 100% filled

A piece of paper is .1mm thick. Add .1mm to your Z offset so your zero is zero.

Re: First layer not 100% filled

Reduce your bed gap so the extrusion spreads out more.

Re: Issue with a very simple piece

Dimensional accuracy might be impacted some, but the software will take care of the required flow rates, path spacing, and all that jazz. It's not something you need to think about.
