Re: Extruder 2, wrong direction

That would be in firmware, not the slicer. Definitely check with Makergear, but it's a simple wiring change to reverse a stepper if needed.

Re: Support Extrusion Width

This can be achieved with a post processing script in the SCRIPTS tab. {REPLACE "; feature outer perimeter\n" "M221 D0 S100\n; feature outer perimeter\n"} {REPLACE "; feature inner perimeter\n" "M221 D0 S100\n; feature inner perimeter\n"} {REPLACE "; feature solid layer\n" "M221 D0 S100\n; feature s...

Re: Making objects as solid as possible

To add a post-processing script to Simplify, go to the SCRIPTS tab and in the window labeled "additional terminal commands for post processing" - the script code goes there. DeleteMe1.jpg In the script I posted, M220 is a speed factor, and M221 is extrusion factor. This is a multiplier to the extrus...

Re: Output literal double quotes with the REPLACE command?

Just bumped into this limitation myself. My machines have Duet3D boards and the latest firmware required text string parameters in double quotes for the dynamic acceleration M593 command. I've been using scripting to disable M593 dynamic acceleration and M572 linear advance when printing infill and ...

Re: Top layer perimeter shell gaps

The issue with speed is the cumulative effects of the heating power in the hot end, thermal conductivity of the nozzle, thermal conductivity of the plastic, and the volume of plastic being pushed through the nozzle. Going from a .4mm to .6mm nozzle diameter increases the amount of material being ext...

Re: Top layer perimeter shell gaps

I think it's unlikely to see features like pressure/linear advance in a slicer due to the complexity of the G-Code required to replicate what's being done in firmware. My printers are direct rather than bowden. I replaced my controller boards this summer with Duet Wifi boards and the pressure advanc...

Re: Top layer perimeter shell gaps

Why bother asking questions when you think you already know everything? 3D printing isn't a perfect process. There are a bazillion variables. Sometimes you need to tweak things to get the best results. As far as stretching, look at the diameter of the bead as it exits the nozzle. It will be larger t...

Re: Top layer perimeter shell gaps

Was the cura part printed with the same size nozzle? The perimeters don't span nearly the same width.

Re: Top layer perimeter shell gaps

I always run the extrusion width 115-125% of the nozzle diameter. With them equal you're stretching the filament while printing. If you have solid infill printing slower, it could be that you're printing the perimeters too fast. I find some materials do better when I reduce the extruder multiplier o...

Re: Wall Print Order - Inside-Out Inconsistent

Please share your factory file. Without seeing the part and how you have it set up, not much to offer.
