Re: Please add Skirt/Brim setting for internal regions. (See Attached)

If using an ooze shield, the brim gets added to the shield and not the part - so one for the ooze shield, model external, model internal would be lovely.

Re: Build Area Locked to First Process

Wrong answer. Different folks in different situations develop different workflows that work for them. Your tools should be flexible, not based on assumptions about how you believe people should do their jobs. Those of us working in production environments can place a cost on every click, every addit...

Material build up in small solid-infill areas

The biggest issue I have with V5 is material build up in small solid-infill areas. I don't know what's causing it, but I can run the same parts, same settings, and get nice clean parts. V5 parts require some sanding to remove excess material. I've tried tweaking all the settings I can think of, but ...

Re: V5 how to change support defaults

How do I change the default settings?
In a production environment, every click, every step I take to set up a job matters. V5 is less efficient to use than V4 because of extra steps required to do the same job.

V5 how to change support defaults

Not a fan of being forced to create manual supports on every part. In a production environment the automatic support generation in V4 has worked well for me. In addition to having to take some extra steps with every print job I create with support, I NEVER want to generate support with 4mm pitch and...

Re: Extra Restart Distance doesn't change as a group variable

What issue is this change supposed to address? This really sucks for me, as all the other settings in all the processes are the same, so if I want to change any other process parameters I'll be grouping and ungrouping different sets of processes in order to make simple changes. The V4 functionality ...

Re: Extra Restart Distance doesn't change as a group variable

Factory File Attached with no part geometry. No part needed to replicate the issue.
Layers X.1, X.3 and Sleeve all have the same Extra Restart setting.
As grouped, changing one does not change all.

Extra Restart Distance doesn't change as a group variable

I have 17 processes in a group. 10 of those processes share the same Extra Restart Distance setting. I have all 17 layers grouped. Changing the Extra Restart Distance in one of the 10 with the common setting does not change all of the 10 layers. It does in V4. I have to go into all 10 layers and set...

Re: Using Infill as a Mesh looking design

Vary the infill percentage.
You can't specify a dimension, but you can fiddle around to find the pattern density you want.

Re: V5 100% fill looks like 90%

I have always preferred setting bottom layers to 9999 to make a solid part, although it seems V5 limits to and bottom layers to 999, so as long as your part isn’t real large…
