It's being requested since day one.
I don't understand the difficulty in that.
I mean it's a paid slicer, why not add this feature ?
It's not that hard to implement..
Right now we can only choose to wait for a stable temp or not. To speed up printing with ABS I am pushing the buildplate to 70-80°C Then I start printing and set temperature for Layer 2 and higher to 110°C This helps to start printing within a much shorter time while still keeping the printbed at a ...
I am surprised this has not been fixed yet. The brim feature is so useful when 3d printing. Rafts are ugly, destroy the surface and take ages. Brims are almost the same, they can be removed like support and bring lots of benefits to a print, especially on ABS) A brim should be optional on all sides ...
Doesn't that only happen if you pring layer by layer? In such a case it will print all objects as one layer which in effect means you print a larger area so print speed is faster. If you set it to object by object it will finish one process after another it needs cooling time, so printing is longer....
I'm still experimenting. I've used 2 layer brims, maybe it's better at 1 layer brims. But the deformation is really an issue. The standard raft from S3D is quite tall. It has 2 or 3 thick layers and on top another 2 or 3 dense layers. I think it's around 2mm, but enough to keep the heat away from th...
slow Raft speed is multiplied by first layer speed, that's a bug in S3D actually. The raft has an absolute speed setting (I don't know if that can be changed) so the first layer speed needs to be ignored. Or better, let people choose the speed by USING the first layer speed but making it an absolute...
Look here: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4620 You actually want "absolute settings", it's the same what I had requested. Also it's not just the first layer height, a few other parameters (like first layer speed!) should also be absolute. It's not like we want a less sticky first ...
