How to get the idle cooldown to work?

Hi, I want to use S3D for my Snapmaker J1S printer. Normally it works fine but I was not able till now to get the idle cooldown function to work in two color print. I placed my settings and the resulting gcode here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/7sgl7m6szauhkj9hbr344/h?rlkey=r5dnms14x1qccfy9k8lzuz3...

Re: Slicer error: Wrong retraction reversion when changing the extruder

Hi S3D-Alex, thanks for your response and your hint. But this would mean to print the whole support with the expensive TPE and to dump it than. But your information, that multiple tool changes per layer are not supported by S3D is useful. Finally I printed the part as described. The most part of the...

Re: Filament all bumpy and like a spiral

May be your nozzle is worned out. Try to increase the temperature by 5-10 °C.

Slicer error: Wrong retraction reversion when changing the extruder

Printing a jar opener I found an error in the slicer of Simplyfy3D 4.1.2. causing the abandon of the print. I'm using a FlashForge Dreamer printer with dual head and heatbed. I print the handle and support out of PETG with the left extruder. The flexible insets are printed out of TPE with the right ...

Hide settings for unused extruders, please

To prevent such irritations I would recommend to show only the used extruders in the settings menü or at least to select them by default. In a configuration with "right extruder only" ist the default activation of the settings for the unused left extruder misleading. So please hide the lef...

S3D ignores nozzle settings on slicing

To print transparent models with clear PETG I bought a 0.7mm nozzle to be able to work with 0.5mm layer height. But setting the new nozzle size I remarked, that S3D is ignoring these settings completely when slicing. So I experimented with a lot of different nozzle settings and compared the slicer r...

Re: Issue when generating the prime pillar using 2 processe

@KC_703

Thanks for the hints. But there are not much variance left for me. I tried to optimize these parameters for best layer filling and minimal oozing. So I'm afraid that my only possibility at the moment is a fat ooze shield unless S3D will fix this issue with the prime pillar.

Re: S3D generates wrong code for extruder offset for FF Drea

@sygyzy Yes, this is a software bug. @CompoundCarl This is not completely correct. I used my new bought and 100% unmodified Dreamer for a print with both heads and wondering, why there was a X-offset between the printed parts. I found the possibility to fix this offset in the process settings and wo...
