Re: Freezing at 'Looking for overhangs '

I just had this problem with a particular model I'm trying to slice. Seems like it is a bug? I have only had this happen with this file so far, everything else I've tried slices just fine.

Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

3.1 just introduced native support for BFB. Too late for me as my 2nd gen Cube now collects dust as a $350 Monoprice Maker Select runs circles around it, but surely the BFB support will be great for some still working with Cubes. :)

Re: Simplify3D cant conect to my Duplicator i3?

I had this problem of a failed USB connectiong every time. The solution was to remove the "auto reset" jumper from the Melzi board in the control box. Now it connects perfectly. Did not have to change anything on the S3D side.

Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

If anyone is looking for a Cube 2nd generation profile for S3D, I've attached the FFF that I adapted from the CubeX/CubePro on the first post of this thread. The retraction settings are not perfect, but I think it works pretty well other than a little blobbing on the exterior surface. Below is a Ben...

Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

If you have only used the pseudo-Mac version of CubeX here, I would suggest you try the Windows version to compile the same .bfb. It's about 100x faster. The Mac version is really just the Windows version wrapped in a slow emulator. Better than nothing, but not really a substitute for a native progr...

Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

Michael, your script is the only thing that saved me from refunding my Simplify3D purchase. THANK YOU! I am printing on a 2nd gen Cube filled to the brim with obnoxious proprietary garbage, and I am finally rolling now with this workflow: 1) (On Mac) Slice with custom FFF profile adapted from the Cu...
