Re: S3D 4.1 crashes on launch

...I reverted to one monitor using Windows "Rearrange multiple displays", opened S3D and then changed back to two monitors and S3D seems to be still working. So it looks like S3D needs to be started in one monitor mode, but then one can switch back to multiple monitors after S3D is open......

Re: S3D 4.1 crashes on launch

This happens to me, same set up as below. Only when it opens on secondary screen. If you disconnect all other monitors but primary and launch it works again without reinstall or removing the data files. This needs to be addressed with a patch seriously. Thanks! I reverted to one monitor and S3D wor...

Re: Will there ever be any updates?

Someone speculated awhile back that a significant amount of code, if not all of it, "might" have needed to be re-written for some reason and that's what's taking so long. I wish s3d would be more transparent on their expectations for the next release date; although I think the software wil...

Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

There's still plenty of bugs in s3d v4.1. The processes don't always run in the order I set them up in the Processes window, the layer heights don't always print at the layer heights I specify, etc, but I feel like I don't want to spend the time documenting these issues for s3d tech service because ...

S3D UPDATE? WHEN? Over 2 Years and 2 Months Since Last Update

Is S3D planning on releasing an update? It's been over 2 years and 2 months since the last update. A few years back S3D had a big head start over the competition, but over the last couple years I've seen another slicer, PursaSlicer, emerging to become a flagship slicer that's getting frequent update...

Re: Switching of the auto connect to printer

Simplify3D just killed a beautiful 47 hour print because I opened it up w/ USB connected from a firmware update a few days ago. Now I also have to buy new filament before I can complete my print. My print is not the only one Simplify3D killed. I see people migrating away from printing via USB so why...

Re: Coast Compensation

It's not true that a perfectly calibrated extruder will not blob because the molten plastic starts dripping as soon as the hot end starts traveling in open spaces. I'm trying to eclipse this dripping w/ coast. I've noticed this especially when printing a large quantity of fine detail pieces separate...

Re: Coast Compensation

Hello S3D-Jake, 1. I'm using Coast to completely eliminate stringing when printing a lot of little letters which entails a lot of retracts occuring on the same layer. 2. My extruders are dialed in perfectly, so I am not using coast to compensate for poorly calibrated extruders. 3.1 Let's use round n...

Coast Compensation

1. In some situations Coast is the only way to mitigate stringing. 2. Please add back the quantity of filament that Coast subtracts to prevent gaps from eventually showing up due to the cumulative affect of a large amount of Coasts. 3. Add back the quantity of filament that Coast subtracts over the ...

Align Prime Pillars

Please offer option to align similar size prime pillars / skirts between consecutive processes. Here's an example that shows where aligning prime pillars and skirts would be helpful:
