Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

Can we get a comment from the developers in this thread? It's like everyone is gone and no longer even responding. You would think they would want to comment in here and give people hope/an explanation on what is going on behind the scenes. We will be releasing another Development Update this month...

Re: Taz 6 Z Offset Issues

Am I incorrect in the assumption that "layer width" on the first layer used to change the amount of extrusion or extrusion multiplier for that layer only?? As far as I'm aware...yes and no! You're incorrect in saying "used to" as that's implying it doesn't now. I'm not aware of the functionality ha...

Re: Taz 6 Z Offset Issues

The first layer thickness works in two ways....varying the parameter above 100% will vary the thickness of the first layer printed on the print bed. The amount of plastic extruded and the height at which the nozzle is placed are both affected by the setting....and every layer after the first is pri...

Re: Taz 6 Z Offset Issues

While adjusting the 1st layer height and width used to work, something has changed since the latest firmware update in the Taz 6. You can set the first layer to print wider, but it only spaces the layers further apart, it does not extrude more filament. I saw a post on 3D Hubs saying that this was a...

Re: Infill to perimeter issues

The speed when moving from the infill to perimeters is controlled by the "XY axis movement speed" on the Other tab of your process settings. So if you think it's moving too fast, you can lower that down to 1200mm/min (20mm/s) or something like that. Decreasing acceleration and jerk can also help, b...

Infill to perimeter issues

I was never too consumed with my Taz print quality until recently. I've been dialing in several materials to get the best results for a while now. I noticed that when my printer moves from the infill to the perimeter on a test cube it jerks very quickly during that step and makes ridges every so man...

variable print speed and cooling within a layer

I would pay for this as a plugin or advanced feature of S3D. I see the interface working in a way that you paint on the model in the 3D workspace to indicate areas that would slow down or speed up. Think of it like a heat map of sorts. The model would show existing settings based on the settings and...
