Re: S3D with UM3, fails to print

I don't even try to print over the network. Just save to USB. I do with S3D would add that feature. Cura as middleman seems ridiculous.

Re: Unused extruder "leaky" on dual extrusion prints

I finally got some great two-color prints on my ultimaker 3 by ungrouping the processes. See this thread. https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8763&p=37099#p37099 I'm wondering if some seemingly unrelated observations are starting to come together, and it all has to do with how S...

Re: S3D with UM3, fails to print

I have had similar issues with S3D and my UM3. Same issue on prime line. Very little extrusion on additions -- skirt, ooze shield, prime tower -- but the print itself extruded well. I had to turn those features off because they caused more problems than they solved. I needed them, but couldn't use t...

Re: Dual Extrusion Confusion

Thank you for pointing me to that video. Very helpful. I think I now understand what is intended, but it's still confusing. What stays the same and what is different is whatever was so at the time the processes were originally grouped? So, to change just a setting on one process, say retraction, I h...

Re: Prime Tower, Ooze Shield and First Layer Setting

Thanks.

So, then, why don't they stick when the rest of the print does? Watching the beginning it seems to have insufficient flow, when the rest of the print is fine.

Dual Extrusion Confusion

Please simplify Dual Extrusion. There seem to be many points of confusion and inconsistencies. In the Dual Extrusion Wizard you select which model is printed in which color by which extruder. Two subprocesses are created under a master process. Points of confusion. - Why is the master process even e...

Re: Wrong Extruder for Support

Well I think I have figured this out, but dual-extrusion sure is confusing. After doing the dual-extrusion wizard and saying which model uses which extruder, it creates a Dual Extrusion Process with two sub-processes, one for each color. it seems that I need to go into the profile for each color, an...

Prime Tower, Ooze Shield and First Layer Setting

Prime towers and ooze shields don't stick, but the print itself does. Are we certain that they use the same first-layer settings as the model? If I print the first layer at a higher thickness, does the prime tower and ooze shield use that setting?

Re: Unused extruder "leaky" on dual extrusion prints

I have tried ooze shield and priming tower. Odd thing is that they do not adhere even though the rest of the model does fine. Don't know how to get them to work on the Ultimaker 3.

Re: Wrong Extruder for Support

I have an Ultimaker 3, not Flash Forge. Should have said that in my original post. I have download the configuration for my machine.
