wont stay open

Windows shut down improperly while s3d 5.1 was open in background, now opens briefly and then shuts down. Reinstalled, same issue. I know in previous version going to C:\Users\brian\AppData\Local\Simplify3D\S3D-Software\savedState and deleting these files worked but not in newest version., Any advis...

Re: Bottom Solid Layers

This is an old print, but, i have the exact problem, which i am trying to resolve. The outlines print perfectly but the infill or bottom layer get way too much extrusion, and yes i can adjust the height to bed or reduce the extrusion for the first and second layers but this means a lot of attention ...

Re: Speed control

I agree that the speed control doesnt make sense the way its labeled. I think the " Default Print Speed " should for the " Outline Speed" not underspeed. And everything else a percent of the "Default Print Speed ". The way it is now, I always return to the thinking the ...

Improper Slicing

I have a model that i cut a hole in the top and down about half way. When i import into S3D it appears correct, however, when i slice it the hole disappears and the top is solid. I checked all the settings and cant find anything to change. I think i had this problem in prev version figured out but c...

Part of model has holes when reopened

When i slice a model all is well, but if i close the app and it opens with same model there are holes in the model, these holes get bigger if i slice it again. Also when i save a factory file it doesn't seem to save consistently, sometimes has holes, sometimes saves without the supports i spent so l...

Re: thin wall parts

I found that changing the nozzle diameter does not help print thin walls. I have been trying to print some dinosaur ribs and thin parts on each one wouldnt show up as printing in s3d. What does work tho is setting the extrusion width lower, ie, 0.25. In the process window ... Extruder/Overview/Extru...
